PROJECTS & CHOIRS

OUR PROJECTS

Emerging Voices is a music charity based in Yorkshire that enables adults with lived experience of mental ill health to reach their potential as musicians and artists in a collaborative and friendly environment.

INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT

One-to-one mentoring from professional musicians and teachers is available through instrumental, singing, songwriting and compositional tuition, and artist development.

TUITION

We offer both instrumental and singing tuition, along with one to one mentoring in composition and song-writing.

ARTIST DEVELOPMENT

Everyone has the opportunity to perform whether through open mic nights or more formal events such as lunchtime recitals and concerts. In addition to this, we offer support to record individuals’ work through Emerging Voices Records.

OPEN MIC NIGHTS AND SHOWCASE CONCERTS

Our students have regular opportunities to perform in our open-mic nights and showcase concerts, a chance to develop musically and gain confidence in a sociable and supportive environment. You can hear some of their performances below!

SUPPORT TESTIMONIALS

“The concert was a source of pride for my son as the audience were very appreciative and he and his family cannot thank Aaron enough for the effort, empathy and compassion he put into the project and the lessons”
